Cate is the Communications and Marketing officer for the School of Tourism and has a background in industry and academia.
Cate maintains her connections and interest with industry working as a consultant in hospitality and services management.
She has worked in the School of Tourism as a manager in the Industry Partnerships team and Associate Lecturer, Awarded a Master of Business (Honours) 2005 from the University of Queensland she also holds a Graduate Certificate in Management from Queensland University of Technology and completed her undergraduate degree in Arts at The University of Queensland. Research interests focus on service management, service quality and communications.
Cate has enjoyed an extensive career in the hospitality industry as owner, manager, chef and consultant. She maintains an avid interest and involvement in the hospitality industry.
