| Dr Timothy Lee was born and raised in Seoul Korea where he was awarded his B.A. (Forest Environmental Science) at the Seoul National University. He has worked as a director of the Tourism Sciences Society of Korea, and as a consultant in tourism marketing and educational tourism development in the Korea Culture & Tourism Policy Institute.
He undertook an MBA programme at Long Island University in New York, USA. Having worked in a variety of tourism and hospitality industry in Manhattan for 6 years, Dr Lee went to UK for his Master degree (International Hotel Management) and Ph.D. (Tourism & Hospitality Development) at the University of Surrey.
Dr Lee joined the School of Tourism in 2005, shortly after he completed his doctoral research. His research interests are cultural heritage tourism, cultural hospitality, conference industry development, and destination image development.
